Draft Guidelines for validating treatment processes for pathogen reduction (recycled water)

 These draft guidelines set out a process for validating treatment processes for pathogen reduction to support Class A water recycling schemes in Victoria. These guidelines will be useful for projects using Class A recycled water in Victoria for dual pipe residential developments, public open space and food crop irrigation, toilet flushing in commercial buildings, industrial applications and even snow-making.

The guidelines were developed Department of Health with support from Water Futures Pty Ltd and Smart Water Fund. The Department of Health called for submissions on these guidelines between September - November 2010. While the submissions are considered and before the final report is released these draft guidelines should be considered for any projects using Class A recycled water.
