Getting stormwater back in the ground:

The benefits of disconnection and infiltration

  • Learn why there is too much stormwater reaching our waterways, and what this means for the health of our rivers and creeks now and in the future
  • Hear about current research and latest designs to disconnect impervious surfaces and divert stormwater back in the ground.
  • Discuss the potential of infiltration and stormwater harvesting to assist catchment health and better manage flow regimes.

We invite practitioners from local government and the stormwater industry with an interest in Water Sensitive Design, to take the opportunity to participate in the ninth seminar of the Hot Topics series.

Speakers including academic researchers, industry experts and local government practitioners will focus on case studies across Melbourne, and highlight emerging stormwater treatment technologies.

Presentations and facilitated discussion throughout the day will focus on the opportunity to integrate these principles into stormwater planning.
