31/03/2016

The CRC for Water Sensitive Cities has recenlty published a very interesting review entitled 'Community engagement in the water sector'.

The review highlights different approaches available to organisations wishing to work with communities, and examines the types of outcomes that these different approaches can generate. It focuses on research that evaluates the effectiveness of different ways of engaging with communities and provides guidelines for each of the 3 identified key types of engagement processes:

  • Initiatives that provide input to the community
  • Initiatives that seek input from the community
  • Initiatives that build active and connected communities
